Yup, this here is my new friend - Tiggy. I thought I saw him before Christmas, but he went hiding inside a very colorful paper. And then the next time I got to meet him was already after New Year. That's good cause I was real busy last holidays I won't have time for him.

Christmas Party 2009 Invite

I guess my friends are right - this is my best Christmas photo of the year cuz it's the one that was chosen ! Oh well, I sure look handsome here... can't blame 'em.

The group photo on the invite was from the Christmas Party last year which was held at my GFF-M's place, hence I wasn't in the main photo. The next year's invite will have this year's group photo - so I will be in the main picture then! That's how it works... bcuz, every household take turns in hosting this event. So that everyone knows that this year's party is at our place they have included my picture, smart eh?!? Otherwise, they might get confused and go to a different house. You have to put the dots closer with these peeps, you see.

After sending out this invitation, everything happened so fast. Next thing I knew it was party day already.... and I met a lot of new peoples, big and small. I tried to smell all their bums but I got tired chasing them all one bum at a time.

Needless to say I received a lot of pressies,... especially from my GFFs A,M,E,N & T.

Oh, what a happy day !!!

BUT!... If there's anything I didn't agree with this party - it's the fact that I didn't get to perform and show everyone all my tricks, like my GFFs did. Unfair! I've been walking to and fro on the stage hoping I'll catch their attention - but nope! They didn't remember to call me. They even forgot to take a picture of me with my GFFs! How horrible!

Actually, I forgot to remind them too, bcuz I met and was playing with a lot of new and very little people.

But that's water under the bridge now... I'm okay now bcuz I was promised a Dog Day Afternoon at the beach as soon as things gets back to normal. Wroo-Wroo! Who can refuse an offer like that?

There's no way I'm gonna fall for that! I'm no bludger. I work for the food I eat. I have to do some chores first before I get fed.

No.1 on the list of "To-do-before-eating" is to "Sit" and "Shake Hands". Then followed by whatever tasks they want me to do. I know what to do when I'm asked to 'Say Please', 'Look at me!', 'Kiss', 'Speak', 'Bow your head and pray', 'Play Dead', 'Turn around', 'Turn the other way', 'Step Back', and many more. The end of my chore is when they have set me "Free!" and tells me to finish my food.

So,... Nope! I'm not gonna fall for that. You can leave the room and set that camera for all I care. I can smell the hotdog but I know better. It's a trap that would send me out of the house for yonks !!!

But I'll let you in on a secret. Can you see those yellow capsules in the pots?

Those are fish oil capsules that run out of date, and my 'play smart' humans decided to put these capsules to good use and placed some on each pot plants.

I love them !!! - enuff said.

Today, I will show you where I usually busk for balls. The guys here... they have gazillions of balls! And they can get very finicky with their balls (-no pun intended).

So, whenever my ball is already chomped out-of-service, I just come here,... and walk to and fro,... to and fro,... do some sits,... and drops,... and shake hands,...speak a little,...

And Voila! Bola from heaven.

Like this ball here... they are saying that it is unbalance and uncontrollable. I don't mind my balls bouncing everywhere. 'Cause then, they start behaving like a Kong, which is my all time favorite !

But the players here like their balls serious, I guess.

So, there... that's the principle of demand & supply. Just go to your local tennis courts for fresh supply of clean and crispy tennis balls.

Hospital - Thursday

(Otso thinking: Hmmnn... the hospital is quieter now. It was jampacked here yesterday. Where are all those dogs and cats I met? I hope they are all home and well now.)

Ok, while they are still discussing my prescription I'll tell you what they did to me.

Because I fractured my molar, which is also called Carnassial Tooth, which is one huge molar, which has got three roots buried deep into my jaw, which got infected and really sore, and which had me on a cycle of antibiotics, they needed to put me on general anaestesia to extract it. Then, they drained it and then they sutured my gum with some self-dissolving thread so I don't have to come back here anymore. Thank God! Not that the guys here are not good, but nothing beats home.

If I will not let them extract it, the infection will come back as soon as I stop my antibiotics. And it may eat into my skull, and/or it may affect my eye, and/or it may leak out of my cheek, and/or it may go down as far as my neck, and many more and/ors I stopped listening. I am so scared already I decided I will stay the night here for urgent extraction.

They also mentioned Root Canal, but said it is not fartical.

In any case, I'll be alright. I may have a lisp from now on but I can always charge that to Extra Character - !

So there, that's the story of my upper right Carnassial Tooth, whose life was cut short due to heavy bone-bardment.

Now, we have to go home as I can feel the world rockin'-rollin'-slidin' under my paws again.

C'mon, let's go! Oh, aren't you done discussing yet?

Whoa! Did you hear that? Did I hear that right?!?... I am on diced raw meat meals only, for 3-4 days, so it will not lodge on the hole and cause an abscess!!!

Last Friday, I thought I could still hide my secret. But meeMaa' spotted the difference between my left and right cheek.

But I have to deny it.

But Saturday morning, I couldn't hide it anymore. It was clear as daylight... I was rushed to the Vet. And my secret was out in the open just like that!

Yes, I chomped too hard on that bone and it cracked my molar! Dr.Bugg gave me two injections, dozens of tablets (taste nice so I don't really mind) and I need to see the dentist on Thursday.

And I am on soft diet. On the brighter side, it is yummmier than my dried food!!! And needless to say, no bones for the longest time.

I have 5 Girl Friends Forever - E, K, M, A & N. I have known them all since I was a little pup. That's E on the left & K (with Choco) on the right.

I love it when they come and visit me 'cause they are happy gals and they always talk to me and make me do things and give me treats. And then they'll talk to each other real fast and then they'll talk some more real fast, I wonder who is listening to who, and then they'll talk to me.

And that Chihuahua there is Choco and he is still young and really, really small. They warned me to look where I am going 'cause I may step on him and he may burst. When I tried to kiss him I think he thought I'd swallow him whole and so he growled at me, silently, but that scared me to the bone.

This photo and the one below were taken on my first birthday last year, my GFFs gave me lots of gifts and toys! That's E, A, M & K with me. N is missing. I will ask if they have picture of me with N.

Boo-hoo-hoo! When I was about to turn 8 months, my humans went on an overseas holiday for yonks ! Actually, it was for 5 weeks. And they left me with someone I haven't met before. Can you imagine that ? Mwah - still a puppy, left in a faraway place (Zenchel Kennels), with a stanger(Ms.Powers), all-by-myself ?!? Maybe this is the reason why they named me Otso (Spanish for eight), because they have planned for this way before, to make me celebrate my eight month birthday alone. Boo-hoo-hoo!

OMG, I'm in heaven ! It took a little while of riding in the car but when we got there I saw the biggest sand pit ever! We have the same in school but a lot, lot smaller. This is awesome ! And plenty water too! meeMaa' said we are in St.Kilda Beach.

And then when I woke up he is gone. And then I saw him again, he was on top of the white laundry cabinet. I think it's the hospital. I keep visiting him coz he is sick.

Ewww!.. I don't like that creepy crawly getting near me... please, please, please, how gross!!! Shooo-shooo, go away !

Okay, I'm safe. I can see a creepy crawly a mile away before it reaches me. Perhaps when I am bigger I won't be too scared of them anymore.

These are a few of my pictures when I was 2 months old. That was a long time ago ! I can't remember most ot those times anymore, except when I see some of the stuff I have destroyed. meeMaa' says I did those things... NO, it wasn't me ! Actually, I don't know... maybe...?

I asked meeMaa' where my teddy bear bed is 'coz it's my favorite. It's so soft and fluffy and warm and tender. And she said it's gone to the rainbow bridge. Hasta la vista, Teddy!

That's okay. 'Coz she bought me 3 more beds. I grew big so fast my beds lasted very quickly.

Here's a video when I was 2 months old. meeMaa' said that it is rare that I am awake when I was still little.

Otso - the Big Yeyow Dog from Downunder

Hello! My name is Otso, and I think it means eight in Spanish. But I have digested a lot of papers already in my 22 months of life, and I think meeMaa' (yup! that how I call my human) got the spelling wrong! But that's ok, coz I'm not Spanish anyway.

Apparently, when they first saw me (I was still at my mom's place) I looked like a number eight from behind. With my head and my body as the two O's. Fair enuff ! I was a bit chubby then. But didn't they see my tail? Come to think of it - if they have noticed my tail they may have named me 'Q'.

That's it from me today as I am still learning how to type. It's not easy you see, with my webbed paws and all. Anyway, tomorrow I will show some of my long ago pictures !
